So I know for best sound you can use maple, oak, alder. I found a blueprint to buy for the sutton hoo. Very new to woodwork, got some basic power tools & have a few basic hand tools. How long does it take to make this lyre? I'm not sure if that wood's expensive/hard to get, or for seperatly buying strings, pegs, or other components from who knows where since I won't be able to make it. I'm wanting to get one but not sure if it's gonna take me longer to make one than buying one that'll arrive in dec-jan on etsy from $450-$600. Let me know on any advice, or a recommended buyer that's affordable!
