He's a mean boy 🥲

Recently adopted this handsome guy, and despite being told lps have a sweet temperament, he is soooo mean to me.
Can't pick him up for the life of me, always wants to fight and bite. I'm pretty much leave him alone, but he'll attack my feet and legs when I'm in the kitchen doing things. He bites and claws hard enough to draw blood.
I've also noticed he attacks his tail and hind feet regularly, vocalizing very loudly at them.
Is he broken??
