Hi, I don't want to give too many details because my loved one is very private and specifically asked me to be careful that no one finds out about his diagnosis online. He's a man in his 60s recently diagnosed with indolent Follicular Lymphoma. His doctors are not immediately concerned and are taking a "watch and wait" approach. He's very private and stoic, and so very much brushes off inquiries as to how others can help. I don't want to step on his toes or be disrespectful, but I thought that if I had a better idea as to what can be helpful, I can offer those specific things and see if he'll take me up on it at some point.
If anyone who has experienced this illness or supported someone who has can help me understand what it feels like and what can be helpful, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
