Lyft is not covering my damage fee!

I picked up a Mom from her house and then went to pick up her kids in DTLA. When I get the kids into my car, the father comes out and started punching my window as well as cracked my windshield.
Lyft said they can’t do anything about it since it was a 3rd party. However, they should still take care of me since it was the passenger that put me in this situation. Don’t you agree?
My windshield is cracked!
