Anyone that drives in Boston might appreciate this ridiculousness.
I was near the North End today completing a ride, when Lyft added a new ride to my queue. So, I complete my current ride and find out my next pickup is at Haymarket (not too far) on my way I get a notification that my earnings have been updated. I pull up and the woman gets in my car. I confirm her name and start the ride, when I see that the destination was 11 1/2 hours away in Baltimore, MD. I turn around and ask her...
Me: "Is this right? The original ride was a 10 minute ride to Revere?"
Rider: "Oh, yes..it's correct. I updated the destination because I haven't been able to get a ride for 2 hours."
Me: "I'm really sorry but, I can't take this ride either. I have to pick up my wife at work at 5pm tonight."
Rider: Are you sure you can't take it? Please...if you can do it off app, I'll give you all the money I have, and I promise I'll do all the naughty stuff your wife won't do too." She's digging for her money the whole time....it was like $100!
I chuckled and, said: "I'm really sorry, but there is very little my wife won't do. Good luck though. I hope you get to Baltimore somehow."
WTF is wrong with people? Take a bus, or train or something!!
