I havent had the trademark rash in a hot minute (luckily). My triggers were always sun exposure, so when this came up i was not sure if it was possible.
Recently I was diagnosed with a really bad case of strep throat. I'm allergic to most medication to treat it, so they gave me an obscure antibiotic. 4 days later, no improvements. Actually worse. They gave me a new antibiotic and told me there was a slight possibility I would be allergic to it, so to be on the look out.
Before I took this pill, I noticed my skin texture has totally changed. Red, rough, bumby. Butterfly rash. I haven't seen it in years. Is it possible that a really bad infection can trigger the rash? Has anyone ever had something similar?
