I am a fan of both and I visit both series' Reddit boards. Love both shows, but I find folks in the Bebop group more tense, more tightly wound. Perhaps its because the canon is so tight in the Bebop world whereas in Lupin's world canon doesn't mean quite as much. In the recent poll here on the Lupin board there were what ... at least five different forks in canon explaining how the gang met up. And there's a lot of variation in characters in the Lupin world particularly IMHO, with Fujiko and Zenigata. Zenigata can be a total baboon or a solid inspector depending on the series and Fujiko .... dear sweet Fujiko can go from all in with the gang to a constant double-crossing figure. Love both shows, but if I had to choose I love the potential variations in Lupin canon more.
