Apologies if I’m breaking any rules by posting this here, I’m new to the sub

Since about September last year I’ve been having trouble with Acid Reflux and clearing my throat (like every few mins needing to clear it). Just last night I coughed into a tissue and could see a few streaks of blood in my phlegm.

I saw a doctor today who didn’t seem concerned and prescribed me medication to help with the reflux and throat clearing and advised me to come back in a week if it persists. My hypochondriac brain thinks I’ve been fobbed off, and reading others stories makes me question whether I should push for more.

Does this sound indicative of anything or is the small amount of blood not a big concern. I’m just an anxious mess at the moment.
