Food aversion caused by chemo

My dad is struggling to eat anything. He says everything tastes bad. Anyone else experience this? I read chemo can damage taste buds causing this. Anyone have any advice on foods to try? He’s losing too much weight and has another treatment scheduled for next week. TIA
