No, I am not trying to say he surpasses Cottonmouth as a character. I honestly don't think anything in this first season has surpassed Cottonmouth yet. But moving on...
From a lot of the discussions on this sub, I'm getting the impression that people don't really like Shades as a character or as a villain. I was just wondering, why? I thought he did great. Theo Rossi portrayed his calm collected character very well, I liked his scenes where he showed we was in control, like Spoiler.
Moreover, everyone is complaining about Diamondback's unrealistic portrayal in what was otherwise extremely gritty, but I thought that was Shades best time as a character, getting to be the level-headed antithesis to Diamondback's being all out of wack about Luke.
Any other thoughts? I really do think this was a good character choice, and look forward to seeing him next season.
