Max 2 bad sleeve design

Isn't it quite a bad design, with the silicon sleeve open in the back? Every time you have to clean the entire interior of the Max 2, and somehow get it all dry again. Wouldn't it be more practical with a closed sleeve which doesn't spill in the back?
Any opinions or helpful suggestions?
