Which server should I start on as returning player, Arkenstone or Gladden?

Both seem to show fairly high server populations. I wasn't able to decide fully but it looks like on websites that Gladden has a slightly higher population than Arkenstone. Is there a specific geographical difference between them?
And also, are there any social biases or distinctions between the two that stand out?
