Is Frodo stronger than Gandalf?

Post Body
It doesnât make sense to me that Frodo can hold on to a small fragment of rock with one hand for like 5 minutes until Sam finally gets a good hold on him but Gandalf, after the Balrog falls and the whip comes off his leg, and he has two amazing handholds on the bridge rock, canât pull himself up?
Or did he fall on purpose to level up to white Gandalf? or did he âreallyâ like his sword or staff and just wanted it back?

The movie! Well⌠i always imagined from the books that the whip was pulling him. The movie just needed more time for the famous words.
But your point is also good: i can imagine that Gandalf chose to let go to fight the balrog to the death. He might have thought quickly, that the balrog could return and come after the company. That would be in line with Tolkien and the concept of self sacrifice. And having himself sacrificed like this could be a necessary step to be reincarnated. Wanting to go after the sword would in the Tolkien universe be not a good reason and would in fact surely even prevent a reincarnation.
But even if: someone of half the body height weighs only an eighth. And the same relative arm width and the muscles therein can much easily pull frodo up. Similar to that a mouse could climb a 60 degree incline and an elephant canât.
