I agree with other posters here. While the short answer is „no“, there is also a long answer. What peter Jackson visualized in his movie could be seen as a brief summary of her change through the ages of middle earth. There was a time of temptation for her. As well as a close relative to Fëanor and his sons also touch with darkness. Also, it is described in the books that as a ring-bearer Frodo perceives her differently as she hold up her ring. So: no, she had no ghost-form like this. Yes, she is seen differently by Frodo. And yes, she has a dark side, and that’s what PJ tried to capture here.
