So as I have gotten older, my love for LOTR and Tolkien's work have only grown. However, in my years of loving it, I have yet to fully finish reading the LOTR trilogy. I made it through most of them a few years back but didn't finish. I want to make it through the series but can't decide how. I have the trilogy in a hardback collection and I have the audiobooks on audible (Rob Inglis version). Should I read them myself, listen to the audiobooks I have or get the newer version audiobooks by Andy Serkis?
I found the books and the older versions of the audiobooks hard to stay focused on but that was ten years ago for the books and probably five for the audiobooks.
Any thoughts?? I will take this journey... although, I do not know the way.
