Realm of the Mad God (RotMG) is a bullet hell pixel MMORPG. The game is still alive today, nearly 13 years after its release on Flash.
However, there are a ton of oddities in old builds of the game that I'm interested in investigating. Problem is, these old builds seem to be lost - just out of reach.
The old webpages that RotMG was hosted on are archived, back to Build 71 of the game, 13 days after the games initial release. A flash embed named AssembleeGameClient71.swf is on the page. Saving the flash panel with the Ruffle extension seems to download the entire page, rather than the flash content itself.
If anyone knows how to retrieve some of these old builds, I would highly appreciate it. It seems so possible to retrieve these, it feels like I'm just missing a tool on my toolbelt.
