I am looking for feedback on a digitisation I did and how I can do better. My last attempt has stuttering in one section which I believe is just because I had my capture card set to too high of a bit rate.

Essentially, I recorded it by connecting a VCR from 2016 into a component to HDMI converter and then into an Elgato HD60 capture card. I chose component because its clearer than composite or S-video and I want to do the best job that I can in preserving it, and the built in HDMI on my VCR has copy protection so it can't be recorded from directly.

My last try at recording it can be found here. https://youtu.be/k5bQ7mroW6E

Are there ways to digitize VHS better? How does VHS's interlaced nature affect the process?

Here's the back story on the VHS tape itself.

I have an interest in an old Sega CD game called "Keio Flying Squadron" and in the game the developers included some fun anime cutscenes. The resolution in-game is extremely low, but in a very rare promotional VHS you can see many of the cutscenes in SD quality (which is far clearer than in-game), along with an interesting developer interview. Nobody had ever digitised and shared it on the internet before so for posterity I took it upon myself to do so as a fun project. It's worth sharing since the game has become a bit of a cult-classic and this tape provides both the cool anime cutscenes in the best quality available (apart from the original scan, which does exist based off the official art-book but has never been released) and the developer interview which those curious about the game's history may enjoy.

Also, there is virtually no information about the tape itself online, but in asking a Fukuoka based collector it was sent to game stores in Japan as a means of advertising the game to retailers.
