I saw someone's post about this in another subreddit and became intrigued (https://www.reddit.com/r/Whang/comments/1620xon/comment/jz4pppm/), because I can vaguely recall watching this. As you can see from my comment, I was able to track down when/where this aired (https://www.spokesman.com/stories/1997/jun/10/alien-vacation-seems-like-a-sales-job/), and I suspect that it's out there.
I spent some time today searching through some VHS archives of that day/year/channel, in addition to just looking for clips or stills of the movie itself, or archives of CBS TV Specials for Sea World or Busch Gardens (I recall that these would happen every few years in the 80s/90s), but haven't found anything, yet.
I checked YouTube, the Internet Archive, asked Bing GPT-4, Brave search, and Google. I also looked through the website and social media for David Coulier and the late Rodney Dangerfield, and considered contacting the Webmaster or social media accounts (which are actively maintained), but haven't yet as I'm doubtful that they could help and I have a hunch that this is already out there in some upload of VHS tapes somewhere, if we could just find it. I get the impression that this film wasn't important to them because it was a commercial, however there are other commercials featured on Dangerfield's website. This would be a good next step if no one knows of an archive that may contain this tape.
If anyone has any other leads or ideas, it would be appreciated by this theme park/TV special enthusiast!
