Tripods for switching to new build

I'm going to be switching from casting to instant reflux now that nightmare set is available, so I need to get myself a new set of tripods. I want to check if I'm getting things right.
Get new gear (CD epic or craft legendary? Don't really wanna waste my CD runs farming for epics..)
Find tripods and transfer to this fodder gear
Save tripods to from fodder gear to tripod inventory, then move them to main gear
Any thoughts?
