originally the point of moving it was to protect against the soldiers. but after all the soldiers were killed they were still trying to move it. what was the point of that? i feel like that was just a plot hole but maybe i'm missing something?

it's also weird to me they started evacuating the island when the soldiers were still alive on it. essentially they were trying to get everyone onto the freighter before the soldiers got back to the ship. and then what? the ship wasn't working. if the oceanic folk weren't safe on the island i dont see how they'd be safe on a much much smaller ship.

and why bother killing everyone on the island, what purpose does that serve?
