I wrote this article last year as a way to truly learn about why people steal (other than to be a nuisance) and I thought it would now be a good idea to share it and see if people would agree with the reasons I've outlined within the article.

It was written for my own entertainment and will be shared on a blog I'm putting together related to my work as a retail security guard.

It was really fun to learn about the psychology of theft and gave me a much better understanding of kleptomania and I found myself being able to sympathise with those who steal on impulse and a "need" to satisfy their urges.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
