Thought I'd share an amusing tale told to me by a supervisor...
He was the floor lead one day when a couple blind guys in sunglasses and walking sticks walked in. The way he told it it sounded like he greeted them and lead them to the mobile department, where they tied up a mobile employee for around 20 minutes with a phone activation.
He hovered around the area, obviously not wanting to blow such a clutch customer service opportunity. That's when another employee came up to him and swore that they'd witnessed one of the guys stuff a product into his backpack when the desk employee wasn't looking.
He mimes internally groaning to me as he tells this story, promising to kill the employee if he's wrong (jokingly of course), before calling security and formally accusing the two of shoplifting.
Security looks through one of the guy's bags and it's empty. He dies a little inside.
Security looks through the other guy's bag and it's loaded with stolen merchandise. Victory hip thrust.
The two were arrested and, low and behold, neither of them were blind.
