Help deciding if this recipe is healthy? Spicy vegan chilli.
Post Body
I love to cook and eat this spicy vegan chilli, but I'm worried it has a lot more calories/carbs than I think. Ill list the ingredients and process if y'all can help calm my nerves about eating a big bowl of it just now :D
- 1 can black beans (drained and rinsed thoroughly)
- 1 can red kidney beans (drain/rinsed)
- 1 can low sodium diced tomatoes (drained rinsed)
- 1 tiny can tomato paste
- 1 cup frozen broccoli
- 1 cup chopped zucchini
- 1 cup frozen green beans
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- As much garlic as humanly possible.
- Water, a fair amount of it.
- Bunches of chilli powder, crap tons cayenne powder, some curry powder, a little cumin and black pepper.
- NO added sodium, oils or thickening agents.
I put all dat shit in the crock pot for an hour or so and sometimes add extra cayenne or habanero sauce :D
So, this isn't terribly bad, is it? Mostly veggies and water and spices, with a little beans and water. It tastes like spicy heaven.
