Hello. I am 24, 6 foot 1 inches, and weigh 155 pounds with way too much skinny fat (Not even a little, I actually feel a wedge when I try to keep my arms at my sides now.)
I have some medical problems that are not majorly impactful enough to warrant talking to a doctor about weight loss, but they do exist and make things very hard to overcome. I have had Crohns disease since I was 11 years old (The only items I can't particularly eat are ones with seeds and high fiber, which isn't very restrictive) and major depression because of the crohns disease, both of which cause chronic fatigue.
I have basically no muscle mass to start workouts and any workout I do is ruined by my obscenely bad diet and by extension, extremely poor palette.
I basically cannot touch a fruit or a vegetable because I'll throw up. My palette is so poor it ruins the experience of trying anything new, mostly because of texture. I do mot mind when a lot of ingredients are mixed in for taste but if it's in chunks thats no bueno.
For instance, I don't mind apple flavor, like in juice or pie or other things, but I will not eat the apple fruit. I like peppers, but only if they are tiny or blended. Most things taste extremely bland, and since all I have to go by is texture, most new things don't stay down (there is no suffer through it and eat the food, it's coming back up), and it makes it borderline impossible to expand my diet
I love meat and cheese in particular, but I'm too poor to afford having meat on the regular if it isn't processed. A bodybuilder friend of mine gave my a recommendation for the amount of protein levels for an extreme beginner to ingest to start gaining muscle mass and it was basically unachievable just from the sheer amount of meat I would need to eat, even with protein powder.
I'm lost, desperate, and slowly dissolving into an obese mess (I gain about 10 pounds every 5 months), and have no idea what I can do to get this ball rolling, as I seem to be stuck in a catch 22 that I don't have the strength to stop.
