As with any lifestyle change, it's all about learning lessons and making them permanent. I made my changes slowly. but I had a hard time staying on track. I think it had more to do with me using my fitness pal and because my job is labor intensive, I can burn a lot of calories and that would add to my calorie limit and I would use that as an excuse to eat more. Eventually I just decided to ditch calorie tracking all together and just use the lessons I've learned so far and eat intuitively.
It's been a month since I last tracked a calorie, I gained 10 pounds in the process, but I'm back down to the weight I was when I ditched the app. I don't feel as if the changes are permanent yet. but once I feel I can naturally eat better, I think I might pick the app up again to learn new lessons to help me lose more.
Now I wouldn't advise anyone to do exactly I'm doing. but if you don't learn nothing else from this post. If you are stagnating, don't give up. Just maintain your progress. Your new normal will help you make more changes to help you lose more later. It's a marathon, not a race. Don't give up. Just try to keep the progress you have now.
