I've lost over 100lbs but I'm still fat?
Post Body

This is a hard one for me to write because I'm incredibly proud of myself but I also feel a bit demotivated. In October of 2018 I weighed in at 308lbs which for being 5ft 10in and 18 years old put my BMI at 44 or "very obese". Right now I'm about ~170lbs and 20 years old so my BMI is now about ~24 or "healthy weight" but just barely. Great progress right? Well that's the thing, I'm still quite fat.

I know people are going to think it's just body dysmorphia or bad self image but it's not. I still have a hanging gut/stomach, I have a large hanging "pouch" of fat around my abdomen, if lay on my side my thigh fat doubles the width of my leg, I have what can best be described as "man boobs", I can slide my hand between my "fat rolls" when a sit down and I could go on and on. It's not just a bad self image, it's pounds and pounds of visible, tangible fat.

I'm not really sure why I'm writing this. I think part of it is a warning to people that while CICO is enough to lose weight, you're going to want to consider eating healthily and lifting weights to look better (which I did not do). If I were to tell you my waist, hips, neck, etc measurements or my clothing sizes (mediums and sometimes smalls) you'd probably think I was a fairly skinny guy but I'm really not. Based on these kind of body fat % estimates I honestly think I might be in the 25-30% or more range and my genetics are particularly unforgiving with chest/breast, abdomen and thigh fat.
