What works better for you- eating a little bit of calorie-dense foods, or a lot of low-calorie foods?
Post Body

Hey guys, not new to LoseIt but trying to get back on track after an embarrassing and unsightly gain of 30lbs on my already heavy frame. I'm 28/F and my BMI is 34.8. YIKES. The last week I've been tracking calories on MFP and cutting out foods I know to be a problem (namely chips and ice cream) and my daily calorie goal is 1500kcals.

Out of personal curiosity, I was wondering if you fine people have noticed any specific trends when it comes to meeting your goals when you eat a small(er) amount of very caloric food (real food, stuff like pastas, burgers, potatoes, fatty meats, etc) vs. lots of low calorie food (fruits, veggies, low-cal snack foods). Do you have more success in meeting your calorie goals when you eat tons of salads, pickles, hard boiled eggs, watermelon and oranges vs a plate of comfort food? Is there a balance to strike?
