So after 1 year, a lot of effort ,and a severe lack of pizza, managed to hit my year one goal. When I set out my goal around this time last year, I thought hitting the hundred pound mark would be easy. I mean, I was losing 10lb a month when I started, so how hard could it be?
Oh, how wrong I was.
But yes, I did hit the 100 lb lost mark, managed to retain some muscle and only have a little loose skin around the abdomen thus far so I'd say It's gone well. For a quick rundown of how I did it, I'll say it was calorie control CICO methodology for most of it, only really working out around 7 months ago as a hobby (although I go every day these days more out of enjoyment than any health benefit). If anyone would like a full break down I'd be happy to make an edit with more details.
I'd definately say I'm better off now than when I started, although my self esteem is yet to catch up with the compliment's I've been getting, so I've been working on getting a better self image (any tips in this area would be appreciated).
I would like to thank the people of this subreddit. I don't post here often but the tips I get here are very helpful and It's always nice to get some inspiration from here when I need it. For now, I'll be working on losing an extra 5-10 lb just for vanities sake and then I'll be focusing on building up some good muscle. It's been a long journey, but one that has taught me about being disciplined about what I eat, which is a lesson I think I badly needed.
