I'm in a wedding this weekend - tips for avoiding all of the really bad food?
Post Body

So one of my childhood friends is getting married this weekend and I'm a bridesmaid. Yay! We were hanging out yesterday and I casually inquired about the food since we didn't fill out any food cards.

Its tacos, burgers, hot dogs, cake, a sundae bar, deep fried mac and cheese... oh man. The list goes on. (Nothing was mentioned about salads at all - but maybe!) I know that I'm going to basically have to have a 'cheat' day but are there any tips or tricks to not going overboard? I usually have pretty good self control but I have no idea what any of these things will be calorie wise besides high. I also know that its going to be a long long day and we're all going to be STARVING.

Please tell me I can do this and it won't set me back too badly!

EDIT: Thank you for all the advice! It was a crazy weekend, so while I had the chance to read everything I couldn't respond. The morning of the wedding the brides mom showed up with fruits, veggies and donuts/bagels/muffins galore. I stuck to the veggies and fruits and around lunch time there were cheese, crackers and some meat for us to snack on as well. The wedding was great, but I thought the dinner food lacked a little, so it was pretty easy to just have a little bit of the really unhealthy stuff and some ice cream at the end. Both my boyfriend and I ended up starving when we left, so we ended up getting McDonalds on the way home, so there is that. But overall I didn't go crazy! I haven't checked the scale yet, because I like to weigh myself first thing in the morning, but I'll see what tomorrow looks like!
