A year will go by no matter what, take charge and make the change you are waiting to make. You don't want to look back and wish you would have started.
I've FINALLY lost 50 pounds. Officially. I'm now only .3 pounds away from heading into the next decade of weight. I did the pictures because I wanted the extra boost to really push hard through my final 25 pounds, but also to prove to myself how far I've come. Losing weight is hard. But it's worth it.
52.1 pounds lost 25.2 pounds to goal #1 30.2 pounds to goal #2
I've lost 25.8% of my body weight. Went from a BMI of 38.2 (severe obesity) to 28.4 (overweight) It took me 13 months to lose 50. (.96 pounds per week average)
I have absolutely no clue what I weighed in the before pictures. They are definitely between 180-202. Some of them were at a time when I felt "good" about my weight.
All of the after pics I took this week after I hit the 50 pound loss point.
Fun fact about the before brown dress pic... EVERYTHING about that dress was tight. I couldn't close the top so I wore a lacy thing underneath. The straps cut into my shoulders, the bottom was skin tight AND I was wearing spanx underneath. I grabbed that dress out of my closet just now and it fits like a dream, flowy, light and comfortable.
Ok - How I did it. CICO Low Carb. I am doing lazy keto, but always CICO. It's that simple. Sometimes I work out. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes I hit 10,000 steps a day, sometimes I don't. It's all about diet. Mess around with different methods until you find what works for you. Low carb works for me because I lose my sugar craving and my salt craving is absolutely taken care of by all the meat and cheese.
Everyone can lose weight. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, PCOS and deal with situational depression. If I can do it, you can do it. Little bits at a time. If you eat too much one day, eat less the next day. Keep trying and don't ever give up. You CAN do it. :)
