This won't work for everyone, but it's proven to be helpful for me over the last month. I've started doing cardio in the morning, which was always a struggle. I weigh myself daily, so this will only really work if you're in that camp. I found that I typically weigh 1/2 lb to 1 lb less after I exercised than before. So, I started tracking myself against my post-exercise weight. So now I know, if I skip exercise, not only will I need to make it up later, but I'll also go backwards on the scale and won't see any gains from the previous day.
