So my best friend and I decided to change our eating habits together. We've been eating significantly healthier, cutting out a lot of refined carbs and sugars and focusing mostly on veggies. She is mostly vegetarian (eats eggs, but rarely red meat, chicken or fish).
However, instead of feeling great or losing a little weight, my buddy has GAINED some pounds, has been feeling incredibly bloated and at times has a hard time breathing. Given that she's been eating pretty darn well, it makes no sense to either of us that she's having this reaction.
She's 5'5, SW: 145lb, GW: 135lbs. So she's not heavy, just has a little baby fat to lose.
Has this ever happened to anyone before? Any advice? I don't want her to give up but by all appearances it seems like the healthy eating is causing her to gain weight and feel gross!
