I’ve lost 100lbs!
Post Body

I’m posting because I feel very proud of myself for finally reaching this goal! I also want to share my journey, questions, and thoughts on everything.

I’m 22, female, and 5’2”, started with my highest (known) weight being 260lbs. Now I’m at 160lbs about a year and a half later! It all started with starting a new job which is slightly more physical. I started losing which encouraged me to actively try to keep losing. I was counting calories for months and then just switched to intuitive eating which still works for me. I used to struggle with BED and have learned a more healthy way of looking at food which has helped me lose weight immensely. I feel so much better than I used to! I can walk, go upstairs, and play outside comfortably.

I have no idea what number I want to stop at either. I used to want to stop at 180, then 160, now it’s 140. I like to think that I have a decent amount of muscle due to both of my jobs that include heavy lifting and a good amount of walking (about 3 miles a day). What would be a good weight to stop at? I also still don’t really like the way I look. Now I’m smaller but have a lot of loose skin. Can I expect that to go away? How long would it take on average?

Anyway, I think I’ll celebrate this week with something sweet and not worrying about the calories! Remember that losing weight doesn’t have to always be so restrictive, take a break every once in a while, and don’t be so hard on yourself.
