Intermittent fasting

I consider my self fairly active as I work in security so I'm hitting 10k steps pretty much each shift and I hit the gym for weight lifting 3-4 times a week. I need to loose fat, is a 16:8 hour intermittent fasting good for that? Obviously I'd try to eat clean in the time frame I am allowed to eat. Also I do not want to loose any strength so I still got to hit my calories in those 8 hours of eating. Also I am extremely busy as I work 3-11pm 4 days a week and go to school 7 am to 11am or 2pm so I don't have a lot of time at home to meal prep. The days I am home though it's not really a issue

I'm 6'2 and CW 248lb male 21 years old GW is around 205-210
