I'm 5'5" and 230lbs. I'm also 6 weeks postpartum.
Before my pregnancy I went from 250 to 180. It was HARD. I was meticulously counting calories to get there and doing a pretty good amount of cardio at the gym & going on lots of mile walks. It feels like I spent all my free time meal planning, cooking healthy meals, or walking. It sucked and i was unhappy, but i was losing weight for health reasons so it needed to be done. 🤷♀️
During my pregnancy i gained the lions share of that weight back and now I do not have the time, money, or energy to go back to the same routine I had going to lose that 70lbs. My doctor was super understanding and we discussed options to help with weight loss at my appointment today.
She ordered labs to get my A1C checked and depending where they're at, she plans to prescribe me either phentermine or metformin. I'd love to know other people's experiences on both meds (good and bad) so I know what to expect! Thank you 🥰
