So during covid I topped out at 260, and then from October 2021 to August-ish 2022 I went down to around 185 from a lot of calorie counting and exercise. Then a bunch of little things happened (I hurt my back climbing, bought a condo, had some work stress, dog died, felt stable in my relationship, etc) and now I'm at 215 meaning I gained 30 in the last 8 months or so.
I felt very bad about this but am now back to the calorie counting and exercise and today I started Ozempic since I have high cholesterol (both the good and bad kind are 50% more than the normal). Surprisingly my blood sugar is fine but I'm still medically obese. I'm wondering if anybody else has tried this who can detail how it affected your appetite or weight loss? My problem with food is that eating is emotional for me. It's not so much about being hungry or full, it's that food is my favorite pastime and coping mechanism, so I'm curious to see how ozempic will effect me given I'm not usually eating out of being hungry.
