I'm super duper excited to finally get to show off a bit, so here it goes!
Obligatory "I've always been a chubby kid" fits well here. After an episode of annorexia and bulimia at the age of 14 I lost touch with how "normal people" eat and began the slow climb to being over weight. Essentially I went from 165lbs at 13 to 106 at 14. From 15 on I just gained and gained until at 20 I hit around 165 again. Then, THE UNIMAGINABLE HAPPENED. I turned 21 and put on at least another 10lbs in the form of a beer gut. Surprise! Anywho, in April when I turned 22 I looked in the mirror and said to myself something that really hit home.
"No magic metabolism will ever kick in for me. If I don't fix my habits NOW I will just get fatter and fatter. Let's do this!"
Then I fucked around till June, when I found you guys :3 since June 19th I've lost 30 or so lbs through diet and exercise. My methods were simple; cut carbs, pump up the fresh veggies and water and avoid sodium and unnecessary chemicals. I started jogging and joined roller derby, which has really kicked my ass, and the pounds just fell off :D
On a serious note, my struggle with eating disorders is far from over. My goal is 1200 calories a day but I am often under by 200 or so. If I decide something I've eaten is too unhealthy the urge to purge is incredibly hard to fight, BUT, its getting easier. I still feel like and see the same 185 lbs girl when I look in the mirror, but I tell myself daily that I am beautiful and getting healthy and slowly but surely it's working. My goal is to be 125lbs by 2013 and maintain it for as long as possible without relapsing. Ill update you guys again when I get there :D
