Merry Christmas!
I’ve got pies, I’ve got cakes, I’ve got puddings. I’ve got cookies and chocolates and a bowl of sweetened whipped cream. Caramels. I’ve got candy, nuts and nougat. And brandy to wash it all down.
Have you ever been the last one to leave a holiday party and couldn’t say no when the host begs you to take the platter of leftover desserts because everyone else already bailed and depended on whoever leaves last to clean up with the leftovers so they wouldn’t have to take them because they were already too full or didn’t want the responsibility of returning to the host the platter on which the desserts were served?
I wasn’t going to say no. I couldn’t. I also wanted them because they are delicious—I tried a sample of each of them and enjoyed them all!
Unfortunately I ate too many and today I can’t get myself to put another sweet into my mouth, but I’d love to share them with someone before they go stale and I feel bad throwing them away.
What’s your favorite holiday dessert?
I’ll provide the lube. And the cherries and cream.
Feliz Navidad!
