I would rather have these higher quality skins than 4 free low quality skins from season 1. I don't mind Riot monetizing off of Arcane considering how much money they've spent on it and we're finally getting a TV show. I think the reason for the really expensive Jinx skin might be that they plan on killing Jinx at the end of Arcane. They want to capitalize on that and make as much money off of her as they can before she's dead in the lore.

Exactly. Why would Riot not attempt to make back the money they spend on Arcane? Netflix is only paying them a fraction of the money they've spent on each of the episodes. League is funding Arcane and it's only fair to sell cosmetics for it. There's no way people would prefer the skins from the first batch over these...
