The more I play skarner the more I hate that they made him a tyrant

It makes no sense and the ability to make him a more somber and fearful leader who see protectionism as the only way to preserve ixtal is plausible and keeps his tone in tact from his previous iteration. His current out look is so jarring since it leans into megalomania as well as the need for recognition and obeisance from his subjects.
I really wish I could have been in the writing room to hear why they steered away from making him a good guy character.
