I like to imagine there are many different biome types spread across Runeterra, like desert versions in Shurima and Semi-Aquatic in the oceans (like how sea turtles come up for air). I also have a small theory that the Brakern came from elsewhere not in the main continents, due to Skarner being somewhat alone in Ixtal. This is entirely speculation but I like the idea
