Question about my wallet if I have to get a new phone

I have the loopring app but I’ve never made a wallet. I really want to but I have an old cracked ass phone and I’m afraid if I make the wallet on this phone and I have to get a new one or it breaks even more than I will lose my wallet forever….I know there’s a seed phrase but if I recall correctly when I was about to make the wallet last time it said something about if I uninstall the app I will lose my private key and it’s expensive to recover…..not sure what to do
