There's absolutely nothing wrong with nail polish whatsoever but it's hideously easy to get wrong which interferes with passing to the nth degree.

You didn't put on the granny/surface level weeb clothes and dodged the street walker makeup. That's a big, big, big, big start. By using feminine clothes but avoiding the most obvious trans stuff you pass better by a mile already. Start by doing your hair.

"Look more feminine" is complicated but having some kind of layered cut or bun is a good start.

Find light jewelry. Very subdued, conservative and simple. Experiment with various scarfs since it's probably autumn for you anyway.

By all means avoid bright dyes and nail polish.

Overall I think there's potential. If you lean into the very demure, subdued waifish look I think the project can go far.
