I’ve been looking at building a new .223 AR build for target shooting in the summer and for coyote hunting this winter. I’ve been looking for barrels and my first choice was a larue stealth. I called they are 4-6 months out, I would like to have it put together earlier than that. Second I thought of Criterion they don’t have much for stock as well and lead times are far out.
I’m looking for recommendations on good quality barrels and where to buy them. Budget- I would spend 500$ but don’t really want to.
I looked on brownells. They have a 20” shilen match barrel/bolt set in stock for 480$ that would be the top of my price range. Never looked at shilens. Are they any good.
