I know 6.5 Creedmoor is considered to outperform .308 in terms of external ballistics. Is there any reason to get into .308 for long-range, or is it "obsolete"? I'm more just curious to see why people still shoot it, unless the only reason is they already have a rifle chambered in it.

Well here in canada match 6.5 creedmore are arround 60$ while 308 is 45-50$. Plus its a pain in the ass to find 6.5 creedmore match
