Supply is low, many nurses and staff have only surgical masks which aren't nearly as effective. I have family working as RNs at two different hospitals on the island, and both are only distributing respirators by process of case evaluation, leaving many health workers exposed constantly. If you know anyone with/has access to PARTICULATE RESPIRATORS (most common is the N95 by 3M https://t.co/vpjIhTuWaa but N99 and N100 are even better) please contact a local hospital about donating/supplying at the local level.
Otherwise, Governor Cuomo tweeted the following :
"🚨NY has a critical need for PPE including gloves, gowns & mask🚨
We need companies to be creative to supply the crucial gear our healthcare workers need. NY will pay a premium and offer funding.

Thank you, hope everyone's staying safe!
