Hello fellow long islanders!! I'm from the Centereach area, recently got a recall done for free at Nissan and during their inspection they said my brakes are in the yellow(like 5-7mm left) i'm looking for affordable brake replacement(i have disc all around) and fluid flush if y'all have any recommendations of where to go within 20 minutes of Centereach please drop me a reccomendation! I'm 23 so idk where to go; My mechanic said go to Mavis if I'm getting rid of the car in the next year, and I said well no but if your price if it's over 200 then I need a loan or 18 month payment plan or something and he said good luck in that case. I have a nice car (in my opinion) and I want to take care of her as best as possible but at these prices I'm hearing, I'm at a loss. Mavis is $158.99 for just rear or front, is that too good to be true? Is mavis really looked down upon in the maintenance world? Or will I be alright?
