Should I get bangs?

My hair has gotten severely damaged over the last few years even though I’ve been trying to take better care of it. I desperately need to get a large amount cut off and I’m wondering if I would look better with bangs? I don’t style my hair at all, but I am willing to put in more effort. What do you think?
