I'm a black female with over 3 feet of long natural hair. Yes it's a lot to care for but I manage. Anywho, my hair recently became matted yet again, this is the third time. I thought I'd detangled all of it, then it bacame matted for some reason all over again.
In the past I always neglected my hair, but I no longer do that. I think the main reason it became matted this time was because I went into the shower a few days after I detangled my hair. What I probably should've done instead was wash my hair immediately after I detangled it so the shed hairs wouldn't have caused it to become as matted as it has. That's my guess. I can't afford to go to a salon like before so I'm on my own for the time being.
However I dont have the energy nor patience to try to fix it myself anymore. It's incredibly frustrating and disheartening because I can't style my hair the way I want to without it looking messed up and I'm worried it might get worse. I love my hair so very much and I'm hoping I can get it fixed sometime soon. Safe to say I've learned my lesson since then!
