As title suggests, the last pic is my virgin hair. I didn’t straighten my hair that day literally all I did was brush it ðŸ˜
7 years later and It’s been through some light bleaching baby lights and box dye, some of which you can see in my current hair’s state. I’m not entirely sure how much I should cut during my next trim to help me get back to this. I also want to note that since getting layers it feels like my hair tangles more and is more sensitive to falling out— unless it’s the aging? since I was 18 in the pic and am 25 now 🙃 Is layers bad for hair health? I like it because it helps my hair not weigh so much… i’ve also been considering a U/V cut and some better frames on the front…
TLDR: what would you do at my next hair cut to get me back on track to my healthiest state?
You need maybe a few inches at most. It doesn’t look bad. Layers are fine for your hair but mostly for de-bulking, they make your hair look thinner. You can tell that you didn’t have layers before and do now. Just keep getting regular trims and you’ll get there
